QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

 SENIOR LECTURER IN THE DEPARTMENT OF ACCOUNTANCY

Candidates for this position should possess:

1. M.Sc. in Accounting with B.Sc. in Accounting from a recognized institution with at least 10 years on the job cognate experience with proven ability for applied research and production work, or Ph.D. in Accounting with at least 8 years cognate experience.
2. Professional certificate like ICAN, ANAN, etc.
3.  evidence of the following publications:

(a) Two journals papers published in reputable journals and two conference/Seminar papers or

(b) Not less than two meaningful chapters contribution in standard Textbook(s) and three conference/seminar papers. 

 CHIEF LIBRARIAN

Candidates for this position should possess:

1. MLs in Library Science from a recognised institution with at least 15 years on the job cognate experience, or Ph.D. in Library Science with at least 12 years cognate experience.
2. Professional Registration Certificate.

 TECHNOLOGISTS IN WELDING AND FABRICATION

Candidates for this position should possess a minimum of HND in Welding and Fabrication Technology with a minimum of two years working experience.   

 CHIEF ACCOUNTANTS

Candidates for this position should possess:

1. M.Sc. or MBA in Accounting or Finance with B.Sc. in Accounting from a recognized institution with at least 15 years on the job cognate experience.
2. Professional certificate like ICAN, ANAN, etc.

 MEDICAL DOCTORS

Candidates for this position should possess:

1. Degree of MBBS or its equivalent from a recognized University with at least one year post registration cognate experience.
2. Registration Certificate with the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria.
              

 MEDICAL LABORATORY SCIENTISTS  

Candidates for this position should possess B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Science from a recognized University with at least one year post registration cognate experience.

 PHARMACISTS

Candidates for this position should possess B.Pharm in Pharmacy from a recognized University with at least one year post registration cognate experience.

SENIOR SECURITY OFFICER

Candidates should be ex-serviced men with a minimum rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police or equivalent in the military.

The college is located at Ikot Idem, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Ikot Ekpene city, otherwise known throughout Nigeria as " The Raffia City", is located between latitudes 5° 10` and 5° 30` North and longitudes 7° 30` and 7° 45` East.

The average weather conditions of Ikot Ekpene are Temperature: 28°C, Wind: SE at 8 km/h and Humidity: 80%. Ikot Ekpene is accessible from four international airports namely; Uyo – 48km, Calabar – 87km, Owerri – 105km, Port Harcourt – 135km. Ikot Ekpene also has a good road network linking it with other major towns in Nigeria.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE COLLEGE

Foundation College of Technology, Ikot Ekpene, is a world-class tertiary institution with state-of-the-art facilities. As an Innovative Enterprise Institution, it runs specialised programmes in Information & Communication Technology, Engineering Technology, and Management Technology.

The Honourable Minister of Education has given approval for the operation of the institution via a letter with Ref. No. C/TEB.553/Vol1/189 dated 23rd May 2014 and signed by the Executive Secretary of NBTE, Dr M. A. Kazaure, mni. Equally, NBTE board has granted accreditation for all the programmes presented for accreditation via a letter with Ref. No.TEB/PRO/VEIs/IEIs/170/Vol.1/64 dated 23rd May 2014 and signed by the Director of Programmes of NBTE, Arc Thomas Adekunle. The programmes of the polytechnic are specifically designed to develop low and middle cadre manpower to meet the need of Hi-Tech Industries. These programmes are skill-based tailored to link theoretical knowledge with practical applications in industries. Our students on completion of the programme will be equipped with sufficient skills to establish their own businesses if desired.
